It is very important that you complete the prescribed course on return from your travels. If you are unsure about how to take them, it is very important that you ask your pharmacist for advice.

Some anti-malarials are available over the counter directly from the pharmacist but, depending on where you are travelling to, others can only be obtained on a prescription or following a private consultation with selected pharmacists.

In addition, some pharmacists also operate travel clinics and will be able to assist you with all your travel health requirements, including administering vaccines following a one-to-one consultation.  Be sure to seek medical advice if you are unsure about anything regarding malaria medication.
